Early Life and Education

Yousef Saleh Erakat, widely recognized by his online alias FouseyTube, was born on January 22, 1990, in Fremont, California. Raised in a Palestinian-American Muslim household, he is the youngest among his siblings: brothers Mohammad and Ahmad, and sister Noura Erakat, a notable legal scholar and human rights activist. Yousef pursued higher education at San Jose State University, where he majored in theatre arts, graduating in 2013. His academic background laid the foundation for his future endeavors in entertainment and digital media. 

Rise to YouTube Stardom

In March 2011, Erakat launched his YouTube channel, FouseyTube, initially gaining attention through comedic sketches that humorously depicted Middle Eastern family dynamics. As his audience expanded, he diversified his content to include pranks, social experiments, and motivational vlogs. His authentic approach and engaging personality resonated with viewers, propelling his channel to amass over 10 million subscribers and more than 2 billion views. 

Diversification into Acting and Music

Beyond YouTube, FouseyTube ventured into acting, securing roles in films such as "Boo! A Madea Halloween" (2016) and its sequel "Boo 2! A Madea Halloween" (2017). He also appeared in the YouTube Red series "Fight of the Living Dead." In the music realm, Erakat released his debut single "Prideland" in 2015, followed by his album "G7: The Death of Fousey" in January 2025, which received mixed reviews. 

Boxing Endeavors

Erakat's interest in boxing led him to participate in matches against fellow YouTubers. In September 2019, he faced Slim Albaher, resulting in a technical knockout loss. He returned to the ring in August 2022 to fight Deji Olatunji but was again defeated by TKO. Despite these setbacks, his involvement in influencer boxing events highlighted his commitment to personal growth and resilience.

Throughout his career, Erakat has been candid about his battles with mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. In 2023, Erakat faced controversy during a Twitch livestream involving inappropriate conduct, leading to his ban from the platform. Subsequently, he transitioned to streaming on Kick, continuing to engage with his audience while navigating the complexities of online fame.
